My hope is to help you tap into your body's wisdom and live an authentic life.

Counselling creates a nurturing space where you can freely express your needs, fears, and aspirations.

Together, we'll explore areas of your life that you'd like to grow in, explore your story with compassion, and connect back to your body and nervous system. Every session is focused on fostering healing, resilience, and self-awareness.

This could look like:

  • learning coping skills to respond to life's challenges rather than react

  • getting out of fight/flight mode to find freedom and peace within yourself

  • gaining clarity on who you are and permission to be yourself

  • finding a new path to understanding your mind, body, and spirit

This is not just therapy; it's the beginning of a journey towards becoming your most authentic self.

OFFERINGS

Virtual, phone or in person counselling

This is your opportunity to show up and determine what you want most out of life. Every step of this journey is yours, and so sessions are different for each individual. But no matter what, I'm here to guide and support you.

I offer 60 or 90-minute counselling sessions, either online or via phone. Together, we navigate through challenges like:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Self-image struggles and suicidal ideation

  • Life transitions such as college, parenting, new career, divorce, or loss

  • Work stress, professional and personal life balance

  • Interpersonal and family conflicts, and relationships

  • Grief and loss

  • Codependency, narcissism, or abuse trauma

Through body-based integration, I gently guide you to explore both unhealthy and healthy patterns, transition into your authentic life, and start to honour your true self.

  • 60-minute session: $150

    90-minute one: $180

WHAT TO EXPECT

How I support your journey

This journey is yours, and I am here to facilitate it, fostering a relationship built on trust and mutual respect.

My trauma-informed approach aims to empower you through increased self-awareness and resilience, through a combination of one or more modalities like these.

  • Meditation, grounding techniques, and other mindful practices can help us to connect to the present moment, gain a new perspective on emotional experiences, and let go of intrusive thoughts or feelings.

  • When we are stuck in flight/fight, symptoms of stress can accumulate in our bodies and impact our well-being. SE helps us release, recover, and become more resilient.

  • This model works with the unconscious attachment patterns that cause physiological symptoms. We address the trauma that impacts our identity, emotions, relationships, and more.

  • This short-term tool acknowledges how our thoughts and feelings impact our behaviours. We learn to identify, challenge, and change our thought patterns, and in turn, our responses to difficult situations.

  • Individuals experience trauma differently, including those with PTSD. EMDR is a guided psychotherapy technique that uses bilateral eye movements to relieve traumatic responses and provide extra support as we reintegrate difficult experiences into our stories. 

  • Yoga and Ayurveda target body, mind, and spiritual refinement. Ashtanga Yoga encompasses eight total steps, including "Asana" (physical exercises). Ayurveda is the traditional companion to Yoga.

Hybrid counselling is not one-size-fits-all. There are some situations where in-person is more appropriate, and some individuals may need increased support such as psychiatry.

COMMON QUESTIONS

  • No, only psychiatrists or psychologists can diagnose a mental health condition or disorder. If this is something that you are requesting, I would direct you to speak with your Doctor.

  • It depends. Please check your insurance or benefits first to see if they cover a "registered social worker" who provides psychotherapy services. I hold a Master of Social Work from the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers of Ontario.

  • I can accept Visa or Mastercard, which you can set up in the secure booking system through the Jane app before your first session.

  • I request a 24-hour cancellation notice or a late fee of 50% will be applied to your credit card through Jane.
